SSMPは、Sean Browney Sentimental Music Project（ショーンブラウニーセンチメンタルミュージックプロジェクト）の略称で、プロデューサーである永田ショーザブロー主宰によるミュージックプロジェクト。
作詞・ボーカル担当のリリィミンツ、作・編曲・ボーカル・キーボード等担当のショーンブラウニーがコアメンバーとなり、顔を出さないアバタースタイルにて楽曲制作をスタート（他ギター、ベース、ドラムの全5名）。

都市の情景や心象風景を軸に、リアリティとインテリジェンス、そして日々のなにげない瞬間を描くこと、またセンチメンタルでどこか懐かしくもある世界観を、とことん緻密に丁寧に、できる限り生音を使って織り上げてゆくことが信条。

2015年に1stアルバム「世界はそうコバルトに」、翌2016年に2ndアルバム「メトロポリタンゲシュタルト」をリリース。2019年、3枚目のアルバムとなる「I LOVE TOKYO」をビクターエンタテインメントよりリリース。
収録曲「ヴェルヴェット・スカイ」、「さぁ、今すぐ目を醒ますのよ」は、FM YOKOHAMA、TOKYO FM 等にてパワープレイとなり、話題を呼ぶ。

常に精力的に制作活動を続けており、2023年ストリーミングでのシングル「銀河系箱庭」がiTunes Store（オーストラリア）の“ J-Pop トップソング ”の5位に、「永久凍土」が8位にチャートイン。また「A GARDEN in the future Shibuya city」には日本アカデミー受賞者の寺嶋民哉氏がストリングスアレンジで参加、この楽曲よりヴィジュアルイメージも一新、現実、幻想感ともに強調された世界観へシフトしてゆく。

ボーカルのリリィミンツは映像方面からの歌唱オファーもあり、2022年には戸田彬弘監督作品「散歩時間」、2023年は「広島怖い映画祭2023」の主題歌に参加。またギターコレクターでもあり、音楽に造詣の深い永田ショーザブローは音楽雑誌にて数回の大きな特集で取り上げられており、活動ベースであるSSMPへの注目も増えている。

今年2024年春には、初のコレクションアルバム「SSMP bittersweet days collection」をリリース。過去アルバムへの関心も高まるなか、まだ充分とはいえないSSMP認知度を上げ、リスナーの裾野を広げていくことに注力している。

SSMP stands for Sean Browney Sentimental Music Project, a music production unit led by producer Shozaburo Nagata.

The core members are Lily Mintz, in charge of lyrics and vocals, and Sean Browney, in charge of composing, arranging, vocals, keyboards, etc. We produce music in the avatar style without showing their faces (there are five other members in total: guitar, bass and drums).

SSMP's creed is to depict reality, intelligence and everyday moments based on urban scenes and mental landscapes, and to weave a sentimental and nostalgic worldview with as much precision and care as possible, using acoustic sounds as much as possible.

In 2015, We released SSMP first album 'The world yes, to Cobalt', followed by second album 'Metropolitan Gestalt' in 2016, and in 2019, third album 'I LOVE TOKYO' was released by one of the major labels, Victor Entertainment.
Songs from it, such as 'Velvet Sky' and 'Come on, wake up now', became power plays on FM YOKOHAMA, TOKYO FM and other radio stations.

In addition, the 2023 streaming single 'Galactic Box Garden' charted at No. 5 on the "J-Pop Top Songs" list at the iTunes Store (Australia), and 'Permafrost' at No. 8. The song 'A GARDEN in the future Shibuya city' also features a string arrangement by Japan Academy award-winner Tamiya Terashima, and from this song the visual image is renewed, shifting to a worldview that emphasises both reality and fantasy.

Vocalist Lily Mintz has also received offers to sing from the visual side, and in 2022 she sang in the film 'Walking Time' directed by Akihiro Toda, and in 2023 she participated in the theme song for 'Hiroshima Scary Film Festival 2023'. Shozaburo Nagata, who is also a guitar collector and has a deep knowledge of music, has been featured in several major features in music magazines, and his activity base, SSMP, is attracting increasing attention.

This spring 2024, SSMP released its first collection album 'SSMP bittersweet days collection'. With growing interest in past albums, the group is focusing on raising awareness of SSMP, which is still insufficient, and expanding its listener base.
